"Mineralized" is a better term than fossilized.
As Walrus Tusk lies buried,
for at least 5,000 years,
it absorbs minerals which eventually color it
in a range from golden
through chocolate brown to black.
Real fossil stone would be much more difficult to carve
with a Foredom Flexible Shaft Drill.
