Consistent electrical service wasn't always available

during the 1997 political troubles in Indonesia.

I had to alternate between hand-drilling

and my Foredom Flexible Shaft Drill

to carve these pieces.

I then designed 13 "Bali Style" Sterling Silver surrounds.

The first photo shows the original silver-enclosed bone bas relief.

Later, the others were stolen, and I found them

on a ricefield path stripped of their silver.
